Are you living with an overly-reactive or aggressive dog who:
Drags you down the street, leaving your shoulders aching and your patience worn thin, or completely ignores you when you call them back.
Explodes at the sight of another dog or stranger, leaving you red-faced and scrambling to calm the situation, or starts arguments at home with other pets.
Is scared of their own shadow, and no matter what you do, you're not seeing any changes in their confidence.
If you are fed up of feeling...
Like everyone’s watching and judging you on every walk.
Powerless to control situations no matter how hard you try.
On edge before you even clip on the lead, wondering what might go wrong today.
Like you’re constantly apologising for your dog’s behaviour.
AND YOU JUST WANT TO ENJOY YOUR DAMN DOG ?!
You're in the right place!

Jenny Barker
Hi, I'm Jen, a canine behaviour specialist who helps people understand and support their sensitive, big-feeling dogs, so life together feels calmer, clearer, and kinder.
I work with the dogs who get called “reactive,” “stubborn,” or “unpredictable,” and the humans who love them. My approach looks at the whole picture: pain, health, emotions, environment, and communication.
I’m neurodivergent and grew up surrounded by animals, everything from horses and goats to rescue dogs and wildlife, and have worked in animal rescue. That background taught me that behaviour is never random, and that understanding changes everything. These days, I combine my lived experience, ongoing study, and a do-no-harm ethos to help both ends of the lead feel seen, safe, and supported.
Because when we understand what’s really going on, we can stop firefighting and start thriving, together.
I currently have 4 of my own rescue dogs - Some of whom you may meet when we work together!

We have worked with Jenny before with Kobe but now have a puppy so needed some more help with the new addition Kali!
Jenny takes the time to get to know your dog and the things you’re struggling with before putting a plan of action together to move your training forward.
Whatever you’re struggling with, Jenny will find a solution and support you through implementing it.
The love she has for the dogs she meets is something I’ve not seen before in other trainers!
We have been introduced to so many different activities to get Kali’s brain working making things more difficult as time goes on.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else for help with my dogs now we have met and worked with Jenny!
We also have asked Jenny to walk Kali a few times whilst we have had difficulties due to an injury, no matter how big or small the ask, I always feel at ease approaching.
Oh and it helps that the dogs love her as much as she does them!
